The Treaty Is Off!

"How do you think Mark's doing?" I asked Xander. Mark worried me, I had to confess. His powers were so strange, and he didn't seem to like them much, even if he had been happy to use them against Janet and her gang. Still, it wasn't as though he'd liked the revenge or the power--he was like Breanna in that way.
"I dunno," Xander replied after a long silence. "You can go check if you want."
I nodded and walked upstairs. "Hey, Mark," I shouted, "are you alright?"

I sat on the couch, listening to Ellena and Jasper talk. I heard Elle's voice. "No...thats not true." She muttered."Lorna,Mark and Xander knew before hand." She sighed, She was right, everybody knew beforehand, before anything happened. That just made me feel worse. I could've stopped her, but she wanted to go hunting. "I know they knew.I walked into the room and they froze...I should have known something was wrong.Im not mad that you guys didnt tell me...." I sighed when I heard her say she wasn't mad at us. But I still felt horrible. "So dont worry about it...Its nce to know that she wanted to come and find me." I looked up and smiled slightly at Ellena from my position on the couch, then sniffled and looked back towards the coffee table.

I heard Emily's voice suddenly, it caused me to jump a little because I didn't expect it. Then sighed. "In here!.." I shouted towards her voice.

I smiled slightly when Emily and Josh entered Ellena's living room. "Hey guys..long time no see.." I said lightly.

I giggled uncontrolably when Brittney said"Hey guys..long time no see.."
I noticed that Josh was smoothing out my hair. I tried to pretend that i didnt notice. "So what have you guys been up to?" I asked.

I smiled slightly when Jasper sat next to me, I put a hand on his knee and he wrapped an arm around my shoulder. I bit my lip and looked over at Ellena. "Um..Elle...I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for not telling you...I knew the others knew and I should've stopped you when you were about to leave.." I hung my head and Jasper rubbed my arm. I felt horrible for not telling her that she was in danger.

Ellena looked over at me and shook her head at me and leaned against the wall."No...You shouldnt be sorry of any kind.Im the one who is sorry. I shouldnt have said those things and I should have understood." She gave me a reassuring smile, then looked around her house and sighed. She then returned her attention back to me."Im just glad you came after me." I smiled slightly and shrugged. "Well..you're apart of my family.." I said, "Every single one of you are.." I looked down at my stomach and Jasper put a hand on it. "What's wrong sweetheart?.." He asked, kissing my neck. I shivered a little "Oh..it's nothing...just kicking that's all.." I said, smiling slightly and sighing. Then I looked up again. "I love you all so much..and I hate seeing anyone in danger...that's why I felt so horrible.." I said.

Jasper and I looked over at Emily and Josh when she started to pull him across the floor towards where we were sitting. "What, were more confortable like this" Emily giggled. I shook my head and giggled, then sighed and rested my head on Jasper shoulder. He ran his hand through my hair lightly. "So..what does everybody think I'm gonna have?.." I asked, wanting to lighten the mood.

Mark didn't answer, and I frowned. Why wasn't he answering? I leaned into the doorway farther and gathered that he was indeed alive.
He probably just doesn't want to talk to me, I thought, and I was probably right. Mark and I barely knew each other, and he had people like Emily to talk to. I just wished I hadn't suddenly started feeling motherly above all things. Maybe the return of Xander combined with Brittney's pregnancy was awakening that long-dormant feeling. Who knew?
Sighing, I closed the door and walked downstairs. The first thing I heard was Brittney asking, "So..what does everybody think I'm gonna have?"
"I don't know, but we are in a house with two doctors," I said. "One of them'll probably be able to tell in a month or two."
